4/3/23 – This is an original WW2 Japanese Combat Helmet. The helmet comes with an original leather liner and cloth chinstrap. The helmet shell has a dark tan painted finish with no dents or major issues. There’s typical surface scuffing and mild areas of paint loss throughout the shell. The front of the helmet has an original Star decal still intact. The interior shell is stamped on the back brim with what looks like “0 45” and there’s a Japanese symbol written in white paint. The leather liner band is riveted in place and secure with original rivets. Excellent condition leather with a Japanese ink stamp on the interior of the front liner pad. The interior cloth-lined padding has light surface staining but no major issues. An excellent overall condition example of a WW2 Japanese helmet.
