Description
2/28/24 – This is a nice example of a WWI-era Model 1911 pistol. The frame was made by Springfield and dates to 1914. It has a Colt slide and an “intertwined HP” Colt barrel. The original finish rates roughly 85%. There is somewhat spotty wear / discoloration throughout, concentrated mostly around the high edges and on the grip straps. Some areas of tiny pitting on the slide. Fitted with fairly worn period-correct wood grips and comes with a proper two-tone magazine. The bore has decent rifling, but there is noticeable pitting throughout.
