Description
10/5/23 – This is a very nice example of a Winchester Model 1917 issued to the US military during WWI. The barrel is Winchester marked and dated April of 1918. The bolt is Eddystone marked. Winchester marked front barrel band. Un-marked stock. The metal parts have retained about 90% of their finish. There is minor wear around the muzzle and on the bolt handle. Thinning on the front barrel band and on the floor plate. Excellent wood stock. Brown patina on the butt plate. The bore has decent rifling, but there is noticeable pitting throughout.
