3/30/23 – This is an original WW2 German ZF 4 scope. The scope is in great overall condition with mild finish loss and dark surface patina throughout the exterior and mixed within the original blued finish. The left side of the tube is maker stamped “ddx” and there’s a triangle with blue paint inside, meaning this scope was treated for winter conditions on the Eastern front. The adjustment knobs are fully functional. The optics are clear and excellent with a crisp reticle. The only minor drawback is a small imperfection just below the reticle on the outer rim of the optic.
