5/24/24 – This is an original WW2 Japanese Civilian Cap. These caps were designed for the National Civilian Uniform, and would have originally come without the added military star emblem found on the front of this example. The star is WW2 original however, and it’s very likely the star was added during wartime. The cap is clean and structurally sound with normal pliability and softness from age. There’s a few small moth holes on the olive green felt exterior but these are generally sparse and small. Excellent, all original stitching throughout. The added front star has natural surface patina which shows age, but no major issues. The interior is excellent with a leather headband completely intact and clean silk interior lining. Nice maker logo on the interior crown, and original size tag still intact (rare).
