3/11/26 – This is a Pre-WW2 Smith & Wesson .38/44 Heavy Duty revolver from about 1936. It is matching and chambered in .38 Special. The gun has a nickel-plated finish that rates roughly 75-80%. There are some areas of chipping in the finish and spotty brown patina here and there, most noticeable on the frame. Fitted with hand-checkered Walnut grips – there is some noticeable wear/smoothing on both sides. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling.
