1/3/24 – This is an excellent example of a Springfield Armory Model 1903 Mark I rifle, issued to the US military in 1919. The barrel is Springfield marked and dated 9-19. The stock has the proper “SA GAW” inspection stamp and cross-canon military cartouche. The metal parts have a parkerized finish with just minor high edge wear and some very light scuffs here and there. The wood furniture is nice overall, but there are light scratches and bruises throughout. The bore is shiny with strong rifling, but there is light spotty surface oxidation throughout.
