3/24/2023 – This is a Springfield M1 Garand with a receiver that dates to July of 1943. The barrel was replaced by Springfield in 1949, and the stock is a postwar replacement. It has retained about 96% of its finish, with minor wear on the floor platerigger group. Nice wood stock, but there are small bruises and scratches throughout, as well as a few small wood repairs. There appears to be a rack number on right side of wood stock. Bore is positively mint. Muzzle reading of 3 throat reading of 1.
