Description
12/11/23 – This is a Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver from 1857. Chambered in .36 Caliber with octagonal barrel. The gun is mismatched, and the naval engagement scene on the cylinder is almost entirely worn. The gun has no remaining finish with “attic patina”, spotty oxidation, and pin-pricking throughout. Some scratches and dings on the butt of the brass frame. The wood grips are rounded in the corners. The bore has decent rifling, but there is noticeable surface oxidation throughout. Fully functional.
