5/14/25 — For sale is a Mauser K98k rifle manufactured in 1944 and marked byf. This example is outfitted with a ZF.41 optic and is in good condition overall. The metal retains an aged blued finish with expected wear from service use. There is finish loss on the bolt, barrel bands, and areas of the barrel, with light speckling of oxidation present. The bayonet lug shows patches of old surface rust.The stock shows signs of age with dryness and a few splits in the laminate, including a crack behind the tang. The bore is bright with strong rifling and rates 9/10. The bolt and receiver are matching, while the barrel bands are force matched (supposed to be blank) and the stock is mismatched.The mounted ZF.41 optic needs to be rotated to the correct position. The lens is slightly cloudy, but still usable. There is a small, non-standard dot above the center of the reticle.
