7/2/26 – For sale is a pair of antique Japanese tabi sandals. Each sandal is made from a single carved block of wood with a distinct heel. Each sandal has a large canvas strap screwed in towards the back of the sandal, along with a split-toed strap at the front that is held in by nails. There is wear and some small rocks embedded into the wood at the heel and toe, indicating a decent level of actual use. There is some discoloration and staining to the wood and the canvas but no serious damage or cracking to the wood or the cloth. Overall in good condition.
