Description
5/10/23 – This is a Lithgow SHT LE III rifle issued to the British military in 1917. It is all matching except for the magazine, which is un-numbered. Likely a replacement. The stock is numbered and matching around the bayonet lug, but there is added numbering and some stamps on the right side of the butt stock – not sure of the meaning. Very faint import mark on the right side of the receiver. A portion of the front of the receiver has been milled flat. The metal parts have retained most of their finish, but it looks like an arsenal-refinish. The wood furniture is in decent condition, but the colors of the pieces do not match. Most of them have been sanded. Mint bore.
