Description
12/11/24 – This is a rare example of a WW1 trench knife. The knife is French made by Au Lion, a company outsourced by the U.S. to help production demand for these fighting knives. The knife comes with the original metal scabbard which has both of its’ belt hooks still intact – another fairly rare find. The scabbard retains almost all of its original finish, and has no major dents. The blade is in excellent condition with no signs of sharpening. Minimal patina / wear on the blade. No issues with the handle. Stamped with the maker stamp “AU LION” on one side.
