8/18/23 – This is a very nice example of a Colt Government Model 1911A1 sold in the commercial market in 1924. The slide is numbered and matching to the frame. It has a replaced barrel with an “S” under the lug. The gun itself has retained about 94% of its original beautiful high polish bluing. There is minor general high edge wear and some light surface scratches along both sides of the slide and on the grip straps. Fitted with excellent period-correct wood grips and comes with a proper two-tone magazine. The bore has strong rifling with minor frosting in the grooves.
