Description
2/19/24 – This is an original 1939 dated K98 bayonet. The bayonet comes with a period correct scabbard and black leather frog. The bayonet blade is excellent, showing some mild finish loss near the tip and normal scabbard rub wear. Most of the original finish is intact with no signs of sharpening. The hand guard, pommel, and handle are all excellent with minimal finish loss. The scabbard is period correct but mis-matching numbered. Light finish loss throughout but no rust or pitting. No dents either. The leather frog is missing the secure strap, but the back side is maker stamped and 1942 dated.
