Description
6/20/24 – This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. It is “United States Property” marked, has the proper “GHD” inspection initials, and has a military cross-canon cartouche. Correct Colt barrel with a large “G” under the lug. The finish rates somewhere between 85-90%. The majority of the wear is on the front strap. The finish on the frame looks original, but we believe the slide may have been re-parkerized. Fitted with period-correct reddish-brown plastic grips and comes with a proper “L” marked magazine. The bore has decent rifling, but it shows tiny pitting throughout.
