Description
8/24/23 – This is a very nice example of a BYF 43 Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 135” military acceptance proofs. There is an asterisk marking on the left side of the frame, indicating it failed initial inspection and was repaired at the factory. It has retained about 94% of its original dusty-blue finish. There is minor thinning on the front strap and on the barrel in the ejection port. Minor wear around the muzzle and on the high edges in general. Fitted with excellent period-correct blackish-brown bakelite grips and comes with one jvd magazine. Excellent bore with strong rifling. De-cocker is functional.
