11/3/23 – This is a very nice example of a “BNZ 4” Steyr K98 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching except for the base of the rear sight. The bluing on the metal parts rates roughly 85% with general high edge wear, thinning on the floor plate and along the barrel, some light scratches here and there, and some areas of light spotty oxidation here and there. Excellent wood stock with a proper “Eagle H” military proof on the right side of the butt stock. The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
