6/24/24 – This is an excellent example of a Smith & Wesson Model 53, manufactured in 1961. Chambered in .22 Jet with a 8 3/8″ barrel. It has retained about 97% of its original high polish finish. Very minor muzzle wear with a few small spots of discoloration on the barrel. Excellent case-hardening on the hammer and trigger. Fitted with excellent hand-checkered Walnut grips. Mint bore. The revolver has cylinder inserts to fit the necked .22 Jet cartridges.
