Description
10/4/23 – This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 99 issued to the Japanese military during WW2. All matching with a completely intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. It comes with an original monopod and a dust cover. The dust cover is marked ‘902’ while the rifle is ‘602’.Could be a factory error or just a mismatched coincidence. The gun itself has retained about 90-95% of its original finish. No major areas of bluing loss, just minor thinning and oxidation. Spot of surface rust on the butt plate. The wood furniture has no major damage aside from a chip on the bottom of the wrist.Terrific bore. The listing also includes an original cleaning rod, bayonet, scabbard, frog and sling. The sling has some staining but is in good condition. The bayonet is in excellent condition.
