Description
3/31/23 – This is an original 1911 dated Luger holster from WW1. The front leather is stamped “AWM / 3 / 11” and there are no other markings. Our research shows AWM (roughly translated) stands for Artillery Workshops of Munich. This example is in great overall condition with all original leather and stitching. The leather is soft and pliable with most of the black dye worn off from the back of the holster, and starting to wear away and thin in areas on the front leather, as shown. There’s surface wrinkling along the magazine pouch, and general scuffs, surface cracking and wear on the lid of the holster. No notable stitching flaws however. A very nice early WW1 example.
