Description
3/10/23 – This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver, manufactured in 1855 and chambered in .31 Caliber. The gun is all matching and comes with a nice wood presentation case, powder tin, molding tool, nipple tool, and some percussion caps. The gun itself has lost virtually all of its original finish with light brown patina throughout. A series of tiny dings on the butt of the frame. The stagecoach scene on the cylinder is mostly worn. Very nice wood grips, but there is a hairline crack on the left side. The bore has decent rifling, but there is light oxidation and minor pitting throughout.
