11/29/21 – This is an excellent 1906 DWM American Eagle Luger in custom cased display.It’s a desirable, uncommon variation chambered for 9mm Luger, rather than .30 caliber.It’s matching and original with about 97% of the blue remaining.There’s some high edge wear on the pistol, and a patch of freckling on the right side of the barrel.The original straw rates at about 75%.Unfortunately, the bore wasn’t well cared for on this one so the rifling is worn and it has frost and freckling throughout the bore.Nice grips with minor smoothing.The custom case includes two spare magazines with wood bases where the ‘Cal 9m/m’ marking doesn’t appear original, but the magazine in the gun appears to be a rare, original example with that marking.The custom case has after-market tools included, and a vintage box of Remington ammo.
