Description
12/27/23 – This is an original, early WW1 Type 1 Collins Bolo Machete. The machete comes with an original leather Collins sheath, as shown. The machete features a 15 inch curved blade that’s in great overall condition. There’s some mild surface scratching on the blade, as well as speckling patina and mild surface oxidation. The edge shows signs of sharpening and light use. Maker marked along with “No 1005” on one side. The horn scales handle has a few small areas of corrosion / pitting. There’s a small area on the left side that looks repaired, and some general age wear throughout. Overall length is 20 inches. The scabbard is in excellent condition.
