Description
12/11/23 – This is a Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver from 1856. Chambered in .31 Caliber with octagonal barrel. The gun is almost entirely matching, except for the barrel wedge – which fits very loosely in the gun. The stagecoach scene on the cylinder is barely visible in a few areas but mostly worn. The gun has no remaining finish with “attic patina”, spotty oxidation, and pitting throughout. Some scratches on the butt of the brass frame. Very nice wood grips. The bore has good rifling, but there is light spotty oxidation throughout. Fully functional.
