5/22/25 – For sale is a Romanian Contract Vz.24 Mauser. Romania was one of the largest contracts to purchase the Vz.24 rifle as their standard rifle outside of Czechoslovakia. The rifle is in good shape overall with the metal retaining an aged bluing. There are plenty of spots of wear but no pitting to note. The Romanian crest on the receiver has been ground as most have been prior to being exported. The stock is in excellent condition with minor bruising and handling wear. The handguard has a 2″ crack towards the front barrel band. The bore is on the darker side. The rifling is still fairly strong, and the lands show some brightness, but the grooves are dark. There is also a counterbore of about 1.5″ at the muzzle. The rifle is mismtached throughout and the cleaning rod is absent.
