5/20/24 – This is a nice example of a scarce Enfield No 4 Mk 1* made by Savage. These guns were manufactured in the US during WW2 to assist England as a part of the Lend-Lease Program between England and the US. These guns are “US Property” marked and have US military flaming bomb and “P” proofs. All matching. Import mark on the barrel. The metal parts have retained roughly 70% of its original finish. General thinning and light brown patina throughout. Nice wood furniture with typical signs of wear. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
