Description
6/5/24 – This is a rare, early WW2 production SA Officer’s Dagger. The dagger comes with an early brown anodized scabbard, and a blade maker stamped by Hermann Konejung A.G.. The blade features distinct cross-graining throughout and a crisp maker stamp on the backside of the blade near the base. The spectacles logo is crisp and clean (fairly uncommon maker). The inscription on the front-facing side of the blade is crisp with spotty patina and light surface wear. Natural scabbard rub wear and clean edges throughout the blade. The cross guards are early non-magnetic nickel-silver. A Gruppe stamp, “B” is present on the backside of the lower crossguard. Nice, original wood handle with a few minor dings but no cracks or chips. The SA emblem has some dark patina and surface aging. The scabbard has light patina but no dents.
