Description
10/3/23 – This is a nice example of an Eddystone Model 1917 issued to the US military in 1918. All parts are Eddystone marked, and it has the proper Eagle Head and flaming bomb military proofs. Crisp Eagle Head military proofs on the underside of the wrist of the stock. The finish rates roughly 75-80% with noticeable finish loss around the muzzle, on the barrel, on the barrel bands, and on the floor plate. The floor plate also has some brown patina and the initials “R.C.A.F.” scratched into it. The wood furniture shows the average signs of wear. Very nice bore with good rifling.
