5/12/26 – This is an excellent example of a Colt M1911A1 from 1942. This 1911 has retained roughly 96% of its original finish, with only hints of high-edge wear and some light thinning on the front strap. The left side of the frame bears the correct ‘W.B.’ military inspector’s mark. Matching numbered slide. Fitted with the period-correct brown plastic grip panels that show no signs of chips or cracks. The period-correct Colt marked barrel has a bright bore with strong rifling throughout, though there is light frosting throughout. Comes with a magazine marked with an ‘R’ on the toe and ‘C-R’ on the baseplate.
