2/10/21 – Excellent, Gustloff Werke K.K. Wehrsportgewehr, Single Shot training rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Approximately 90 – 95% original bluing. Minor use patina. The barrel bands appear to be re-blued. Mirror bore. Includes original sling, cleaning rod and bayonet lug. These guns were made in Germany at Waffenwerke Suhl as a training rifle. It was designed to mimic the weight, feel and features of the military standard 98k bolt action rifle and was popular with paramilitary organizations within Germany, including the Hitler Youth. This rifle has a 26-inch barrel with “GUSTOLFF WERKE WAFFENWERKE SUHL” inscribed on the receiver ring, single-shot action, target sights, and a hardwood stock. This rifle has “eagle/N” proofs on the barrel and receiver, Gustloff trademark on the receiver ring and “KK Wehrsportgewhr” on the right side. Beautiful piece.
