4/24/25 – This is a Brazilian M1908 Mauser bayonet, manufactured in Germany by Simson & Co. SUHL. The blade is in excellent+ condition, retaining a nice original finish with only minor handling wear. The ricasso is clearly marked “Simson & Co. SUHL”, and the crossguard is serialized (non-matching to the scabbard, which is common for issued examples). The grips are very clean with no chips or cracks, and the pommel has only light wear. The scabbard retains most of its original finish with some very minor handling marks. Comes complete with the original leather frog, which is in excellent condition with tight stitching and supple leather. A great example of a South American contract bayonet, perfect for collectors of Mauser rifles or international military pieces.
