12/7/23 – This is an International Harvester M1 Garand from 1954. This particular gun was sent to an arsenal and was converted from .30-06 to 7.62 or .308. The breech bolt is SA marked. DOD stamps on the barrel and stock. The stock is also “P” proofed. The finish on the metal parts rates about 90% with minor wear around the muzzle and on the floor plate. The wood shows the typical signs of wear and use – minor dings and bruises throughout. There are, however, a few more noticeable gouges. The handguards are in different condition than the stock itself. Stone-mint bore.
