2/26/26 – This is an Ithaca Model 280 SKB 20 Gauge Shotgun, a blend of elegance and functionality that has captured the hearts of gun enthusiasts and collectors alike. With its lightweight design and reliable break-action mechanism, this shotgun shines in upland game hunting and clay shooting scenarios. The distinctive blued finish, coupled with engravings featuring floral scrollwork and bird imagery, showcases a level of craftsmanship synonymous with Ithaca’s storied history. This piece, produced through a collaboration between Ithaca Gun Co. and SKB in the 1960s, stands as a testament to affordable yet high-quality shotgun manufacturing aimed at the American market. This one is all matching and shows very little actual finish loss. However, there are some areas of discoloration around the lugs. A few small marks and scratches along the barrel. The wood furniture shows only a few dings and bruises. Very nice smooth bores.
