Description
8/4/23 – This is a late WW2 production Naval Officer T97 Sword. The sword blade is naval arsenal stamped on the tang, indicating the blade as factory-made. The blade is in very good condition with some light signs of polishing throughout and a uniform tempered edge. There are a few light surface scratches throughout the blade, but this is mild overall. The fittings are standard late war style, and the handle has normal signs of handling and aging. The scabbard is cracking and slightly chipped at the mouth and along the spine, with small areas of surface black lacquered finish chipped off. The scabbard is still intact however and fits nicely.
