03/23/26 – For sale is a Gewehr 98 made by DWM in 1915. The rifle is well-worn with the bluing turning a grey-brown patina color. The receiver is still in the white with dotting of old oxidation on the surface. The stock is in great shape without any cracks or breaks. The bore is bright lands and the grooves slightly darkening. The rifling is strong. There is some spotting in the grooves about 6 inches from the muzzle, but cannot tell if it is buildup or oxidation. The rifle has matching numbers throughout from the action screws to the handguard.
