06/17/2024 – For sale is a Type 99 Arisaka made by the Nagoya Arsenal. This rifle is in great condition overall with a nice bluing remaining on all the metal parts. The stock has typical handling marks but no major damage or cracks. The buttplate is heavily oxidized but is typical for these rifles in the tropics. The chrome lined bore is bright with great rifling. The rifle has matching numbers on the receiver, bayonet lug, bolt, extractor, safety, and firing pin. The “7” on the firing pin has been overstamped over another number. The dust cover and monopod are reproductions. The rifle comes with a midwar Type 30 Bayonet made by Toyoda Automatic Loom Works with a reproduction frog. The Mum has been partially ground but we are unsure if it has been touched up for how crisp it is. Please see photos for more details.
