1/28/25 – For sale is a 1907 Erfurt Gewehr 98 that was modified to a 98M after WW1. The rifle had its rear sight replaced with a tangent sight. The metal retains its bluing but has freckling of oxidation and some shallow pitting visible. The stock is in good condition with pressure marks and dents throughout. There is a crack stemming from the toe of the stock about 1.5″ in length. The rifle has mismatched serials throughout. The bore is dark with pitting visible. The rifling is visible when shining a light.
