04/09/2024 -For sale is a Springfield M1 Garand made in December of 1944. The rifle is in great condition overall with the phosphate finish clean on the metal parts and the wood furniture in great shape. The side of the stock is stamped “SA CAW” with the Cross cannons stamp. The barrel is stamped SA-12-44. The bore is bright with great rifling and the muzzle erosion rates at 2 and the throat erosion rates at 1. The rifle comes with paperwork of it being originally purchased from the precursor to CMP in June of 1986 from the Aniston Army Depot.
