04/09/2024 – For sale is a rare Mauser Model 1896 Carbine used by the Boers during the Boer War. This rifle is in good condition with much of its original bluing remaining on the metal. There is freckling of corrosion throughout but nothing too deep. The barrel has some pitting on top. The stock and handguard are both in great shape and free of any cracks or breaks. The bore is fairly dark but with some light shining through. The rifle is matching on the receiver, bolt, cleaning rod, trigger guard, magazine floor, rear sight ladder, slider, and locking button.
