Description
3/27/25 – This is a nice example of a rare Swedish Husqvarna M40 Rig. The Husqvarna m40 was manufactured 1940 to 1946 and was a Swedish copy of the Finnish Lahti pistol. The first m40s were delivered to the Swedish military by 1942.This particular example features a unit marking on the pistol and holster indicating that it was issued to the Swedish Air Force. The grips of the m40 have the Husqvarna “crown H”. The m/40 would eventually be taken out of service in the 1980s. This one is matching and has the proper “Crown SS” military acceptance stamps and crown proofs throughout. “F.2 987” unit marking on the left side of the slide. No visible import marks. It comes as a rig with a proper 1942-dated holster and three magazines. The gun has retained nearly all of its finish with just hints of high edge wear and some very light surface scratches here and there. Mint bore.
