3/26/24 – This is an excellent and scarce Mauser C96 Broomhandle with rare “Von Lengerke and Detmold, New YorkÄù inscription on the left side of the frame – a company that was the sole distributor of the C96 Mauser in US at that time. The pistol is all matching and comes with a period-correct but mismatched wood stock. The gun itself has retained about 92% of its original bluing loss. The majority of the wear is on the grip straps, so the profile views are excellent – just minor high edge and muzzle wear. Excellent matching-numbered wood grips. The bore has good rifling, but there is light pin-pricking throughout.
