Description
2/26/25 – This is a very rare Mauser P.38, one of only ~2,850 ever produced. It’s a dual-tone pistol with ‘ac 44’ marked slide but Mauser proofed frame, indicating slide was produced at FN factory and assembly completed there. Dual-tone finish with a phosphate slide and frame with a blued barrel. All matching with the proper “Eagle 135” military acceptance proofs. These phosphate finishes can be difficult to rate, but we estimate this one to be about 90%. There is a thin appearance on the phosphate parts in general (typical). Minor muzzle wear. Fitted with correct black plastic grips and comes with a rare, end-of-war, “U” marked, “Waffen 135” Mauser magazine. Excellent bore with great rifling. De-cocker is functional.
