8/31/23 – This is a very rare and early Winchester M1 Carbine, one of the first ~3,000 ever produced!A full parts list is included in the photos of this listing, but it’s got many rare, early parts.Proper front sight with rounded milling, and many other Type 1 pieces.While Canfield’s book states that the mag catch should have serrations and the rear sight should have a script S, we have observed other early examples with the block S rear sight and flat mag catch.Otherwise, all parts are totally “by the book”.The finish is original with nearly all of the wear on the barrel.Excellent bore.Stock has a small chip on the right side wall but is in great condition otherwise.
