3/31/23 – This is a very nice example of a “VoPo” police luger, reworked by the East Germans after WW2. The frame and slide were made by DWM, and the chamber is dated 1911. The toggle was made by Mauser. It is all matching, but many of the parts were arsenal-renumbered to match. Imperial proofs on the slide. It was also refinished at the arsenal and retains about 92%. There is thinning on the grip straps and minor wear around the muzzle and on some of the high edges. The side plate has been coated in what looks like brown paint. Fitted with a nice set of VoPo grips and comes with a WW2-era magazine that was re-numbered at the police arsenal to match the gun. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with pin-pricking throughout.
