Description
10/4/25 – Excellent condition. Matching numbers. This Russian Mosin 91/59 is a carbine-length variant created from the standard M91/30 rifle, likely during the late 1950’s. There are key identifiers that distinguishes the 91/30 as opposed to the M38 or M44. The most defining characteristic is the rear sight. It is the original sight from the M91/30 long rifle, but all markings for ranges beyond 1,000 meters have been milled off. Also, an “1891/59″ stamp was added to the top of the receiver. The metal parts have a finish that rates between 95 – 98% with an import mark on the left of the receiver. The 21” barrel has strong rifling with some frosting in the grooves and rates a strong 7 of 10. The stock is solid with no cracks. Smooth operation and fully functional.
