Description
2/27/24 – This is an excellent example of a scarce WB-marked Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1941. The slide is numbered and matching. It is “United States Property” marked and has “WB” inspector initials. Correct “Colt 45 Auto” barrel with a large “S” under the lug. The gun has retained about 94% of its original finish with general high edge wear, some very minor thinning on the front strap, some light spotty oxidation on the top of the slide, and some discoloration on the barrel (visible through the ejection port). Fitted with period-correct reddish-brown plastic grips and comes with a two-tone magazine. Very nice bore.
