Description
3/3/23 – This is a very rare and original Smith & Wesson Model 1899 revolver from the early 1900’s. One of only ~1,000 ordered by the U.S. Army, it has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder and barrel. The right grip is hand-numbered but not matching to the gun. The frame is inspector marked (KSM), as is the barrel and cylinder. The gun has retained roughly 60% of its finish with noticeable splotchy finish loss and wear throughout. There is also noticeable brown patina covering the whole gun. Very nice bore with good rifling. Nice proper grips that do not match the gun. The cylinder is tight, and the action is smooth.
