2/19/24 – This is an original WW2 Japanese Nambu Type 14 Shoulder holster. The holster is an earlier variation with all-leather construction. The leather exterior throughout the holster and shoulder strap is dyed black. We suspect this is a period correct dye as the age throughout the holster is on top of the dye and not dyed-over in most cases. Some research we found indicates black leather T14 Nambu holsters were Navy issued, but we cannot confirm this as fact. The leather is in great condition throughout this example, with light surface wrinkling and scuffing but nice shape and mild pliability. The shoulder strap is completely intact as well with some natural wrinkling and pliability but no major issues. All original brass fixtures throughout as well. No notable stitching flaws.
