Description
7/11/24 – This is an original WW2 M1 Garand bayonet. The bayonet is a cut-down wartime example with the groove extending all the way to the tip. The blade has it’s original finish with a sharpened edge, with typical scabbard/sharpening wear. No patina or pitting throughout blade. Maker stamped U. C. for Utica Cutlery and U. S. with the flaming bomb in the middle on one side and “1389275” on the other. Nice original black handle. The metal fittings, pommel, and hand guard are in excellent shape with no patina and very little wear. The pommel is marked with a H on top and 37 on the end. The scabbard is in good+ shape but has most its original finish on the metal components worn away. The scabbard is US stamped with the flaming bomb. The scabbards locking mechanism fully engages as it should.
